BLANCO, born Riccardo Fabbriconi, class of 2003, is one of the most overwhelming talents of recent years: 74 platinum records, 8 gold records, more than 3 billion streams on platforms and an already deep imprint on the national music scene.
“Bruciasse il cielo”, Carrier track of the road movie, “Bruciasse il cielo” (Island Records), produced by Michelangelo, is available on all digital platforms from Friday, November 10. The road movie -from Nov. 9 exclusively on Prime Video, produced by DeAntartica in co-production with Illmatic Film Group and in association with Except Film, directed by Simone Peluso- traces, with unreleased content, songs and videos, the last two years of music and travels of the record-breaking artist, the youngest Italian to have performed in a stadium (Tuesday, July 4, at the Olimpico in Rome and Thursday, July 20, at the San Siro Stadium in Milan).
In 2022 he competes with Mahmood in the 72nd edition of the Sanremo Festival with the song Brividi (seven platinum records), finishing in first place and winning participation in Eurovision.
A style, his, which is difficult to pin down, in which catchy melodic lines, sung with the aggressiveness and emotionality of adolescence, coexist with an authentic, transparent sensitivity. The rough and messy imagery surrounding Riccardo is made of contrasts: on one hand a punk, raw, provocative attitude, on the other the romanticism of a young boy, lived and told without superstructures and with great instinctiveness.
He approaches writing almost by chance, dedicating his first song to a girl as an experiment for its own sake, only to discover an innate and spontaneous talent for music. In June 2020 he released his debut single Belladonna (adieu), which was followed by the highly successful songs Notti in Bianco and Ladro di Fiori.
In February 2021, Paraocchi was released, which was followed by a collaboration with MADAME in the song TUTTI MUOIONO. BLANCO is also among the artists who took part in RED BULL 64 BARS, THE ALBUM released in May by Island Records with the track Dio Perdonami produced by DRAST of the PSYCHOLOGISTS.
The same month he was the first Italian artist selected to be part of the Amazon Music Breakthrough unplugged sessions.
In June 2021 he released together with SFERA EBBASTA the hit MI FAI IMPAZZIRE, a song that established itself as one of the big hits of the summer topping the charts and certified by Fimi as the second most listened single in 2021.
On September 10, 2021 he releases BLU CELESTE, his debut album certified SIXTH PLATINUM for Island Records, which dominates for weeks the Fimi/GfK charts of the best-selling records and singles in Italy, a work that establishes him as the revelation artist of the year. In November of the same year he collaborates with Marracash on the track NEMESI contained in the album NOI, LORO, GLI ALTRI.
In April 2023 he releases his second studio album INNAMORATO for Island Records / Universal Music Italia – the only prestigious collaboration within the record being with MINA in the track Un Briciolo Di Allegria – which debuts at No. 1 in the Fimi / GfK chart of the best-selling records, vinyls and singles in Italy and totals over 100MLN streams in two weeks.
After the incredible success of the BLU CELESTE TOUR -35 dates that went entirely SOLD OUT- in July 2023 the artist performed two unmissable dates, for the first time in stadiums, produced by Vivo Concerti and Friends and Partners: Tuesday, July 4 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and Thursday, July 20 at the San Siro Stadium in Milan.
